I was thinking about America’s obsession with all things BIG such as: Big Macs, SUVs, etc. I decided I wanted to make miniature paintings representing some of these big things to see if I would consider Paul Bunyon and his Ox or the Big Gulp differently if they were represented on a smaller scale. However, I found that even small, I still think of these big things as big. Maybe that isn’t such a bad thing. Maybe I am more of a typical American than I thought. I do enjoy the occasional Big Mac.
