caller number 91
This year I moved to LA and have been commuting to work everyday with quite heavy traffic. It usually takes me about 30 to 45 minutes to get to work. I decided to make use of this time by beginning to record radio segments when a caller-in receives a certain concert ticket or Harley Davidson motorcycle. I am particularly interested in the moment when the caller-in is put in contact with the radio host, there exists a strange delay in that moment when the caller-in doesn’t seem to really understand what is happening and where the radio host is trying his or her utmost to fill them in as quickly as possible and get the desired response. The desired response then is usually a strange mixture of shrieks and yelps. I find the whole exchange fascinating and am thus trying to record as many exchanges as possible.
